On the occasion of Hildegard Knef's 100th birthday in December 2025 Hildegard Knef was certainly the last German artist to be allowed to bear the honorary title of Diva completely ironically and deservedly. In addition to their films and books, their chansons bear eloquent witness to this. No one has sung so cleverly, so poetically and at the same time so cool and to the point about the old Federal Republic, which was very musty and repressive, especially for self-determined women. For the first time, the volume 'I would like to have a Sunday on Monday' documents 100 of these texts and collects comments, stories and reflections by contemporary artists on them. In addition to CÄTHE, Sebastian Krumbiegel (Die Prinzen), Mieze Katz (MiA.) and Bernd Begemann, Bernadette La Hengst (Die Braut haut ins Auge), Markus Berges (Erdmöbel), Stoppok, Franceso Wilking (Die Höchste Eisenbahn), Tim Fischer and Tex Rubinowitz, among others, will pay tribute to Hildegard Knef with their very personal liner notes.
