Aki's mother has been in Tokyo for years, ran away, with her new one. Her disappearance and the memories of her drive him into an emotional standstill. In the nightlife, the bourgeois world meets the Viennese underground, and there are finally places of refuge for Aki. He finds himself among the most fragile in society. Nina is an exception: she ends Aki's paralyzing loneliness, but at the same time she is his greatest emotional challenge. Aki's psychosis is strongly triggered by the state of the world and the threat to democracy. Can resistance make a difference at all?
