The plot of »The Little Lord« It is the year 1900. Eight-year-old Cedric "Ceddie" Errol lives with his mother in New York. The father, a descendant of a wealthy noble family, died some time earlier. However, due to his marriage to a commoner woman, he was disinherited by his father, the Earl of Dorincourt.

Eines Tages beschließt der Earl, ein verbitterter alter Mann, seinen Enkel und einzigen Erben kennenzulernen.
