The series focuses on the young reporter Günther Wieland, who repeatedly gets into dangerous situations during his research for the Munich newspaper Nachtkurier, interferes in the investigation of criminal cases and uncovers scandals. At his side is the photographer Charly Rensmann, played by Gerd Potyka.
