It's the ultimate nightmare for every child: eight-year-old Peter is woken up every night by an eerie knocking behind the walls of his room. However, his parents claim that he is only imagining the strange noises. Only his class teacher seems to believe Peter and tries to encourage him. As the frightened boy begins to get to the bottom of the origin of the knocking, he discovers that his parents are hiding a terrible secret from him.
