The contract killer Tommy Ward accidentally shoots the wrong man in London and he is also a relative of the gangster boss Freddy Darby. Tommy flees to L.A., leaving behind his ten-year-old son Oliver and his ex-wife Jodi. In L.A., Tommy goes back to his usual work and his new boss Benson has a suggestion for him: if he makes a man out of his effeminate 17-year-old son Rick, then he will make sure that Tommy can return safely to London. From then on, Tommy takes the teenager with him on his killer tours and the two become an unbeatable team.
