Franz Zucker is broke – and has been for some time. But when the unemployed father and his son Benny swindle 25,000 marks from the shady loan shark Johannsen, his big break seems within reach. However, his newfound wealth arouses the curiosity not only of his neighbor and police commissioner Kaminski, but also of his wife Hilda. To keep up appearances, they quickly invent a shipping company – chaos ensues!
