Dennis Brown was a Jamaican reggae singer and one of the most popular artists in the history of Jamaican music. During his successful career, which began in the late 1960s when he was eleven years old, he recorded more than 75 albums and was one of the biggest stars of Lovers Rock, a subgenre of reggae. Bob Marley described Brown as his favorite singer, calling him "The Crown Prince of Reggae," and Brown would prove influential on future generations of reggae singers. In 2023, Rolling Stone ranked Brown 67th on its list of the 200 greatest singers of all time. This album includes the classics "Silhouettes," "Lips of Wine," "Changing Times," and "I Didn't Know."
