I was born in the first generation of free Polish, after 123 years of occupation. I grew up thinking that no one would ever take away our freedom again, but the German invasion of Poland and the outbreak of war dispelled my hopes. There are many people like me. We are angry, tired, but at the same time determined. We have to fight to be able to live like people again. We feel that we have only one choice: to take revenge and regain freedom for our city and nation. Or die trying. Our chances are slim and the enemy is strong. We are like brothers and sisters, strengthened by a fighting spirit, relying on cunning and teamwork. But is all this enough? An action plan is half the battle! If we prepare well, we can surprise our opponents. We have many options for approaching each task. We try to make the right decisions. Wherever this uprising takes us, our courage will be on the lips of future generations. Those of us who survive will tell our story. We will be prudent and fearless. We know how to fight. We prefer to operate in the shadows to increase our chances and minimize losses. When this fails, we come face to face with the enemy. We know Warsaw inside out and we take advantage of it. The Germans are turning it into ruins, and it is easier for us to fight in them. There are fewer of us, but we have nothing to lose and we have stronger bonds. Good cooperation is key. Each of us has a different personality and skills, but we can work together. On the battlefield, no one can replace a good friend by your side.
