Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition – The Mountain Royals DLC (PC) Steam key is an epic expansion that takes players to the heart of the mountainous lands of the Caucasus and the Middle East. The expansion introduces two new civilizations – Armenians and Georgians – and three extensive, fully voiced campaigns that show the dramatic fates of the heroes fighting for survival, power and glory. It's a combination of story, legend and tactics that opens up a whole new chapter for fans of the series, full of emotions and strategic challenges. Two new civilizations Armenians are a people with a rich culture and a long history, whose strength lies in perseverance and faith. Players will lead them in the fight to rebuild the ancestral kingdom, located in the mountainous areas around Lake Van, Lake Sevan, and Lake Urmia. Unique Armenian units include: Composite Archer – an elite ranged unit, capable of piercing even the toughest armor, ideal for eliminating heavily armed enemy troops. Warrior Priest – An extraordinary infantry that combines combat ability with the ability to heal allied units, making the Armenian army extremely resilient in long battles. Armenians combine spirituality with warfare, offering a balance between a powerful offensive and support for allied troops. Their playstyle rewards strategic thinking, control over key points on the map, and tactical flexibility. Georgians – a proud nation inhabiting the rugged slopes of the Caucasus, known for their steadfastness and bravery. Georgians are able to use the terrain to their advantage, becoming extremely effective in defense. Their unique unit is the Monaspa, an elite cavalry that grows in strength with the size of the unit. The more Monasps fight side by side, the more powerful their charge becomes, allowing them to break through even the most enduring enemy lines. Georgians are the perfect choice for players who like to fight with a tactical advantage, control space, and take advantage of difficult terrain on the defensive or in lightning-fast counterattacks. Three thrilling new campaigns Each of the campaigns in The Mountain Royals depicts a different stage in the region's history, from the medieval wars of Georgia, through the Armenians' struggle for freedom, to the birth of the Persian Empire. Tamara's rise to power Young Tamara, raised in the shadow of the legends of the great King David the Builder, takes the throne of Georgia with the hope of ushering the country into a new era. However, he quickly learns that power is not only a privilege, but also a burden. In this campaign, the player will have to strengthen Tamara's position in the face of rebellions, conspiracies and external threats, proving that the first queen of Georgia can rule as wisely as she can rule bravely. It is a story about courage, determination and faith in a nation that must survive in the mountains full of dangers. Toros the Great In the small but strategically located Kingdom of Cilician Armenia, Prince Toros begins his mission to save his homeland from Byzantine captivity. After escaping from prison, he embarks on a risky campaign to unite Armenia's scattered forces and regain independence. Not only the Byzantines, but also the warlike Seljuk Turks and the ruthless Frankish crusader who has his own ambitions in the south will stand in his way. Toros' campaign is an intense tale of betrayal, honor, and sacrifice – the perfect blend of dynamic tactics with an emotional narrative. Ismail In war-torn Persia, a young orphan named Ismail becomes the head of the mysterious Safavid Order. With his charisma and visionary nature, he seeks to unite a shattered country and build an empire that will go down in the history of the Islamic world. But the line between vision and fanaticism can be thin, and pride can destroy even the greatest
