Age of Wonders 4: Eldritch Realms DLC (PC) Steam Key is a dark expansion that introduces new dimensions of magic, powerful rulers, and terrifying lands tainted by cosmic corruption. The expansion allows you to face the approaching darkness and discover the secrets of the umbral abyss – a place where reality is distorted and ancient powers come to life. The most important novelty is a new layer of the map – the Umbral Abyss. It's a dangerous, twisted land full of darkness and chaos that threatens the mortal world. Players can explore new tactical maps, numerous unique locations, and encounter independent factions that inhabit umbral habitats. This land is extremely dangerous – units entering the abyss take damage, but it is possible to gain immunity thanks to a special transformation of the umbral body. The expansion also introduces a new type of leader – the Eternal Rulers. They are powerful, ancient beings corrupted by the energy of the abyss, who possess unique magical abilities. As such a ruler, you can choose your own path of development – dominate your opponents, manipulate their bodies, or use unpredictable, chaotic magic. Eldritch Realms also features two new story lands where you'll return to Athly for an epic battle that will decide the fate of the world. The expansion also introduces two new breed forms – the Syrón and the Insect – as well as new mounts in the form of the Standard Beetle and the Exotic Death Beetle. Another novelty is the system of space events, i.e. global events affecting the entire game world. Among them are four crisis mini-events called Season Harvest, which offer unique tactical maps, units, and mechanics. Completing these events even allows you to transform one of the heroes into a powerful plague. The expansion introduces three new books of magic. The Book of Tentacles allows you to immobilize enemies and deal damage to them with the fearsome tentacles, and unlocks a unique Strangler unit. The Book of Purifying Flames gives you access to the magic of light that allows you to repel the forces of darkness and burn heretics. The Book of Corruption, on the other hand, allows you to turn the power of your opponents against them – turning buffs into debuffs, stealing their effects, or creating sinister copies of enemy units. Eldritch Realms also adds five new pre-made rulers, two new realm templates, three additional realm traits, and a new dark UI skin inspired by space tentacles. The whole is complemented by six new pieces of music composed by Michiel van den Bos.
