Backrooms Media is a cooperative multiplayer horror game that transports players to surreal, unsettling liminal spaces where the line between reality and nightmare blurs completely. With version 1.0, gameplay goes beyond just survival – now you can face threats and take the initiative. The game offers non-linear levels full of dangers and mysteries. Traverse extreme environments such as the Bunker with killer temperatures, the Dark Forest contaminated by radiation, and the deceptive Pink Labyrinth. Explore the refreshed locations of Parking Lot and Deep Level 0 and find notes that reveal the fate of the previous expedition. Along the way, you'll encounter unique creatures, including the upgraded Bacteria, the terrifying Smiler, and the vigilant Kitty. Each opponent requires a different strategy, and hasty decisions quickly lead to failure. Procedural generation makes the layout of levels, increasing biomass and deepening darkness change with each playthrough. Players are provided with specialized gadgets such as radars, decoys, sensors and the Stopping Shocker, which allow them to track and immobilize creatures. Additional mechanics, including changing temperature conditions, force you to constantly adjust your survival strategy. Backrooms Media focuses on close teamwork.
