Cossacks: European Wars is a real-time historical strategy game based on the events of the 16th-18th centuries in Europe, when nations and states rose and fell, and wars spilled seas of blood. There are 16 nations or regions in Cossacks: Algeria, Austria, England, France, the Netherlands, Piedmont, Poland, Portugal, Prussia, Russia, Saxony, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and Venice. Each of them has original graphics, specific features of economic and technical development, military advantages and disadvantages, and unique units and technologies, providing a wide variety of tactics and strategies in the fight against each opponent. Thus, England is the most powerful naval power, Austria has powerful light and heavy cavalry, and the Cossacks are the pride of the Ukrainian army. On single-player or online maps, you can fight battles of up to 8000 units. You can carry out long-term sieges of cities, wage guerrilla warfare, capture viewpoints and organize ambushes, transfer amphibious forces to enemy coasts, and conduct naval battles. The game system is designed to reduce control over each unit and micromanage resources, and focus on the global goals of creating a powerful economy, advancing science, conquering new lands, and defending borders.
