Death Howl is a dark, atmospheric role-playing game with a turn-based, card-based combat system that takes the player on an emotional journey through a world of myth, ghosts, and loss. You play as Ro, a huntress from a small tribe who, after losing her son, sets off to the Spirit World, guided by mysterious voices and the hope of saving him. Over 25 hours of gameplay, you'll traverse four mystical lands divided into 13 unique regions. There are more than 30 types of enemies, numerous side quests, and challenging battles with powerful bosses and mini-bosses. Every encounter matters, and the decisions made during the journey have a real impact on the further course of the game. The heart of the gameplay is an extensive card system. You have over 160 cards at your disposal from which you create your own decks focused on different fighting styles, such as poison, strength, defense, mobility or battlefield control. Additional wards allow you to strengthen abilities and introduce new mechanics, forcing you to constantly adjust your strategy. Turn-based combat requires planning and careful use of the environment, which can both help and threaten the heroine. Along the way, you'll encounter disturbing ghosts and enigmatic characters that you can help or whose intentions turn out to be treacherous. Each encounter can change your deck and affect your further path.
