This world has been plunged into chaos as the once peaceful square Earth has been shattered to pieces. Despite its shape, it is still an Earth that needs to be defended. Now it is EDF's responsibility to restore peace to the square planet. Build your own team The Earth has been smashed to pieces. EDF soldiers are desperately fighting alone in various countries around the world. Save these soldiers to join you and build your own unique team. Each task can be completed with up to 4 team members. Switch between team members throughout the game, using each character's unique traits that will prove useful in combat in a variety of situations. Recruit soldiers from previous EDF games Block versions of characters from every previous EDF installment, from EDF1 ("Monster Attack") to "Earth Defense Force 5" and even from additional EDF games, appear in the game. A wide selection of weapons and vehicles from previous EDF parts is also available. Veterans of the series will enjoy the sight of familiar characters and weapons, while new players will have the opportunity to get their first taste of the series' rich history. Known enemies Enemies who have previously invaded Earth appear in this game, this time in the form of blocks. Online co-op The game supports online co-op for up to 4 players, with each player joining the battle with their own team. History In a parallel world where the Earth is made up of blocks, evil has touched a once-peaceful planet. Led by the Dark Tyrant, several Motherships suddenly attacked the planet, shattering the Earth into pieces. Earth has been attacked by Invaders, Devastaters and Aggressors before... but the brave soldiers of EDF have always joined forces to defend the planet from these threats. After the Earth is shattered, EDF soldiers continue to fight on their pieces of the planet. However, without the ability to reach each other to deliver aid or food, the planet is plunging into despair. You must take on the role of EDF commander and repel the attack. Find EDF soldiers fighting all over the planet and launch a counterattack. Only a powerful team built by you can save our square Earth.
