Play with friends in co-op mode or form enemy factions In this galactic open-world sandbox, how you play is up to you! Take your friends to the frontier on your own private server, or make new friends (and enemies) on large public multiplayer servers. Play peacefully in co-op or use the dynamic multiplayer faction system to connect and split dynamically as alliances change. Build ships from scratch and travel to new planets Your first planet is where you'll learn how to survive, but it's just the beginning. Build your own spaceship and use it to colonize new worlds. It will not be easy, and only the most successful colonies will be able to combine the resources and knowledge necessary to break the orbit. Once triggered, the stars contain brand new planets, new biomes, bosses, and challenges. Create, research, loot, and exploit your environment You need to prepare to fight this hostile part of the galaxy. Mine, farm, farm, develop, research, and build hundreds of different items, from winter combat gear to advanced labs. Find something you can't handle. Put on your self-made laser rifle and venture into the unknown to explore dungeons, procedural bases, NPC shops, and more. Defend what you've built or conquer the galaxy Defend your colony in fast-paced combat that uses physics such as projectile fall, projectile velocity, and dispersion. Stop enemy raids on your base with a supply of handmade grenades. Tired of just defending? Destroy enemy bases with destructible terrain as you wield everything from old rusty rifles to nuclear weapon launchers and energy weapons that harness the power of lightning! Develop and construct advanced bases for protection Grow from a small outpost to an advanced nuclear-powered fortress. Carefully manage your resources and choose your research paths based on the items and challenges you encounter on each planet. Be careful, though: the bigger your colony gets, the bigger the target for invaders (and jealous friends) becomes. Automate work and train your team Even here, you are not alone. Rescue the surviving AI and build a colony together. A range of unique stats, advantages and disadvantages mean that each colonist has something different to offer. As your AI colonists complete quests, they will level up and become smarter, stronger, and faster. Best of all, you can assign tasks and orders to NPCs to do the hard work for you and prioritize their roles based on these skills.
