Front Mission Evolved brings the iconic series into a dynamic version of TPP action, set in the reality of a futuristic armed conflict. The year 2171 – the world is divided between two rival superpowers: the U.C.S. and the O.C.U. When one of the orbital space elevators is destroyed by unknown forces, tension escalates into open war. Dylan Ramsey, a young engineer who unexpectedly becomes a key figure in the conflict, finds himself in the middle of a global intrigue. The gameplay focuses on intense action from a third-person perspective. The player takes part in spectacular battles using wanzers – powerful combat machines – fighting in a variety of locations, from futuristic cities to the icy terrain of Antarctica. Fast pacing, explosions, and fast-paced skirmishes define the style of play. Front Mission Evolved offers an extensive customization system. Dozens of weapons, wanzer parts and shoulder modules allow you to create a machine perfectly suited to your own fighting style. In addition, the combat skill system allows you to gain a tactical advantage with special effects such as penetrating or corrosive shells. For the first time in the history of the series, an online mode was introduced, offering 4v4 team battles, in which players face off in direct duels of wanzers. The whole thing is complemented by impressive visuals, including high-quality cutscenes created by the Visual Works studio, known from the FINAL FANTASY series.
