Gothic 2 Gold Edition includes: - the base edition of Gothic 2 - the expansion Night of the Raven, a sequel to one of the best action/cRPG games of 2001. As in the previous part, the action of Gothic II takes place in a fantasy world and continues the plot of its predecessor, i.e. the war between the forces of evil (a whole lot of monsters, Orcs and Ogres led by Dragons) and Humans. However, this time we are no longer moving only inside the colony of criminals covered by the magic barrier, but outside it. The action takes place in new very extensive and diverse locations, m.in. a seaside town, a monastery, a library, a farm, Dragon Island, a castle besieged by Orcs. Of course, we will also meet a few familiar areas here. Practically speaking, the rules of the game have not changed dramatically. Of course, we have a few improvements, i.e. new character classes (m.in. magician, henchmen and dragon hunters), new guilds and new actions that our hero can perform (m.in. creating various potions). Our character has a number of skills that he can develop, i.e. several standard fighting techniques (single-handed, two-handed, bow and crossbow) and a dozen or so other abilities such as: creeping, lock picking, pick pocketing, creating runes, alchemy and forging. In addition, he can use increasingly powerful spells that are part of the six circles of magic. Computer A.I. has undergone a complete transformation. For example, now, an attacked city dweller calls the guards, and enemy monsters and beasts can cooperate with each other. The graphics have also been improved - the whole land and its elements (trees, cities, houses, etc.) are more refined. In total, there are about 100 different face textures in the game.
