Once again, we play as an ambitious young man whose goal is to create his own empire. The game continues the traditions of its predecessors and at the same time introduces a lot of new solutions. The action takes place in the seventeenth century, at a time when the monarchies of Spain, England, France and the Netherlands fought for influence over the Caribbean. We start the adventure as a young captain who will try to make a fortune and build a reputation from scratch. As in the previous installments, there are two main career paths ahead of us. Adventure lovers can engage in dangerous expeditions, piracy, conquering and plundering cities, and treasure hunts. On the other hand, those who prefer more peaceful solutions, trade and urban development. Of course, we can also combine both paths as we wish. An important element of the game is interaction with sea powers. It is only up to us who we will establish cooperation with and who will become our enemy. The game has no shortage of naval battles and city sieges, and extensive algorithms take care of a realistic simulation of the virtual economy. In addition to single-player modes, multiplayer is also available. The game is presented in attractive three-dimensional graphics, which replaced the ones known from previous 2D installments.
