A few years after the events of the first part, the world of Risen is destroyed by rampaging titans and stands on the brink of extinction. At the same time, monstrous creatures emerge from the depths of the sea, paralyzing all navigation. Our hero, now a member of the Inquisition, is sent to discover how to stop the chaos caused by these sea beasts. His search begins with rumors that the pirates of the southern islands may know a way to get rid of the monsters once and for all and end their reign of terror. Risen 2: Dark Waters combines the classic RPG mechanics of the first part with a new pirate theme and rich environments on countless islands with different themes. This third-person RPG takes place in a dark and gloomy universe, retaining the most immersive features of the original Risen, offering players multiple approaches to each challenge and allowing them to shape the game world based on their choices. These choices will reveal new paths, features, and additional abilities for the character. Combined with a highly interactive environment and a full daily cycle affecting countless aspects of the game world, Risen 2 will create the most deeply engaging RPG world ever created.
