South of the Circle is an emotional, narrative experience with a multi-layered, cinematic story. Maneuvering between the present and the past, the plot deals with the pursuit of a career and true love, and raises questions about the consequences of the paths we have taken in life. The player takes on the role of Peter, an academic lecturer who crashes his plane in Antarctica during the Cold War. In search of salvation, the protagonist reflects on his past, when the pressure of power and his own aspirations led him to a crisis, from which he is now trying to get out. The affair between Peter and Clara, whom he met at university, allows him to understand the importance of the promises made along the way. And some of them, like childhood memories, stay with us forever.
