The Quest is a classic open-world RPG, distinguished by hand-drawn graphics, grid movement, and a turn-based combat system inspired by old-school productions of the genre. It is an extensive, non-linear adventure that focuses on exploration, plot and full freedom of choice. The game takes place in the kingdom of Monares, where unrest grows. Governor Freymore has gone missing, the island is plunged into chaos, and the mages predict the arrival of a dark force that threatens the entire kingdom. As the king's agent, you embark on an investigation, the outcome of which may decide the fate of Monares. You create your own character by choosing from five customizable races and a wide set of skills. A variety of weapons, armor, spells, and enchants are at your disposal, as well as the ability to brew potions and influence other heroes through persuasion. Character development allows you to customize your playstyle to your preferred approach – from a warrior to a mage to a clever brawler. The game world includes four large cities and vast wilderness areas full of mountains, caves, lakes and forests. As you explore, you'll meet a variety of inhabitants, each with their own goals, character, and attitude toward your character. Your decisions have real consequences – some choices can lead to a conflict with the law and change the course of the story, up to one of several possible endings. The Quest offers a rich, interactive world with a day-night cycle, changeable weather, dungeons, traps, locks to open, items to repair, and houses to break into. An additional highlight is the addictive card game available in the inns, using three different decks.
