Into the Dark is the second story expansion for The Riftbreaker, which takes the gameplay to the dangerous, vast cave systems beneath the surface of the planet Galatea 37. The unique underground ecosystem hides enormous riches, but also deadly threats and dark secrets from Ashley's past. The expansion introduces an entirely new branch of the story campaign, in which a series of neutrino anomalies and seismic activity force Ashley and the mech "Mr. Riggs" to explore the depths. Limited space, lack of natural light and unpredictable dangers require constant adaptation, thoughtful expansion of the base and the use of new technologies.
