ROME REMASTERED refreshes the classic graphics of Rome by offering 4K optimization, support for ultrawide screens and UHD resolution. Improvements include renewed modeling of buildings and facilities, as well as environmental effects such as dust clouds and heat fog. The revamped campaign maps also gained new high-resolution models, and the units were revamped and retextured to look their best on the battlefield. The modern functionality of ROME REMASTERED includes a number of modern features and improvements to existing mechanics. The in-game camera has been improved, including map rotation and greater zoom in Campaign Mode. Added heat maps and new overlay icons for game mechanics such as diplomacy and security. In combat, a new tactical map, unit displays, and range indicators give you more control over Rome's battlefields. Improved game mechanics system Players can now expand their armies and experience 16 additional factions that were previously locked, giving a total of 38 playable factions. For the first time in Total War history, you can now take your favorite faction to battle with your friends in multiplayer across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. A brand new agent type has also been added: Merchants can be sent around the world to create trade links, access resources, and buy out competitors to increase their income and consolidate their faction's economic power.
