The engine control unit (CASSETTE), based on reading the information provided by the sensors and the appropriate driver behavior, supplies an additional dose of fuel during the piston's work cycle, which burns outside the chamber. This happens because an additional dose of fuel is injected during the piston's exhaust stroke (or directly into the particulate filter). The operating pressure and temperature are too low, meaning that the additional fuel is burned outside the engine to ignite and burn off the carbon deposits (soot). This directly increases the operating temperature in the exhaust system, and when it reaches 600-650 degrees Celsius, the soot combustion process begins. IMPORTANT… If your car is having trouble with the particulate filter's post-combustion capability, we do not recommend performing this procedure using a service computer, as the pressures already present there can damage the catalytic converter insert and the DPF monolith. It can also damage the pressure sensor, lambda sensor, turbocharger, or crack the exhaust manifold. This type of service is only performed on new cars that are covered by a full warranty. Using various types of filter-cleaning agents is also not recommended, as the particulate filter loses its proper operating parameters (crumbles). The DPF burnout process does not guarantee long-term vehicle operation, as the particulate filter is designed to collect ash, and only soot is burned off. As we know, ash is the last "WASTE" that gets stored in the filter, thus causing it to clog. Proper DPF REGENERATION processes have a huge impact on the condition of the engine and the particulate filter. HOW WE CLEAN... Filter cleaning involves rinsing the filter's contents from both sides in a specialized machine that uses 60-degree water, a properly prepared fluid, and pressure to restore 100% filter efficiency, without damaging the catalytic coating responsible for the proper operation of the DPF. Therefore, the only effective method for cleaning the DPF, GPF/SCR, FAP, and catalytic converter filters is to disassemble them and then undergo hydrodynamic regeneration (washing) in a specialized machine. This will restore the particulate filter to its full efficiency (the filter will be as good as new). The particulate filter regeneration time is 2.5 hours on-site.
