MONACO Monaco is an independent production focusing on the adventures of a group of thieves. The gameplay is based on the co-op mode, and the Pocketwatch Games studio is responsible for the production. The developer founded by Andy Schatz has so far two positions focusing on management. The first is Wildlife Tycoon: Venture Africa, released in 2005, while the second is Venture Arctic, created three years later. The plot of Monaco is set in the eponymous city. Players take on the role of thieves who escape from prison and decide to carry out a series of thefts. They are quickly joined by new characters – each of them we know only by the name of their profession. The twists and turns are presented in short introductions to the tasks so that they do not interfere with what is most important in Monaco: cooperative gameplay. In each of the dozens of available tasks, cooperating players (up to four people) must avoid traps, obstacles or guards to reach the indicated item. After successfully getting the object, you still have to escape from the place of theft. The stages are designed to be fun for both friends at the party and players looking for a challenge. The latter will have to work hard to get through the mission in perfect style. The key to success is to take advantage of the unique abilities of each thief, of which there are a total of eight in the game. Among them, there are, among others: lock expert (quick opening of doors and safes), hacker (quick deactivation of security systems), spy (ability to disguise as a guard) and medic (healing colleagues and incapacitating opponents). It is also important that coins were hidden in missions – only collecting all of them allows you to unlock additional stories of thieves. The graphics are quite simple and look chaotic in the pictures – the action is shown from above the character's head. However, the developers have made an effort to make the game readable. The appropriate use of colors and the simplification of many elements of the environment helped to achieve this. In Monaco, you can play foursome both on one computer and online.
