Product description

'Computer state' or 'Nazis out'? 'Attack on the Land of Milk and Honey' or 'Forever Punk'? These are exactly the questions that musicians, fanzine writers, authors and journalists, punks, ex-punks and anti-punks ask themselves. They look back on 50 years of punk and go in search of their most important song: Which song brought me to punk, which one embodies punk most clearly for me?

The anthology 'Attack on the Land of Milk and Honey' gives around 100 different answers to this question - with one thing in common: for the authors, punk is still not just any music genre among many, even after half a century. Some look back on their own youth with a melancholic look, for others punk is still very much alive. In the collected texts, the music is past, present and future. Punk functions as a musical turmoil, rupture and drive. It comes across as a squat, DIY label and fanzine mailorder, can be theory or practice, introduction to feminism, anarchism and critical theory, art and anti-art, dead and still alive. There is only one thing he is never boring.

While 'Attack on the Land of Milk and Honey' is dedicated to German-language punk history, the volume 'Bored Teenagers' is released at the same time, in which central songs of global punk history are highlighted.
