Samir H. Köck's attempt to interview Van Morrison in 1990 failed. First, he wanted the questions written down, then he claimed he couldn't read the handwriting. This proved to be the perfect prelude to his 35-year interview marathon. Music journalist, DJ, and curator Samir H. Köck has since conducted around 3,000 conversations with musicians of all genres. He went for a drive with Tom Waits in California, shared cocktails with Amy Winehouse in Berlin, and the legendary Little Jimmy Scott even visited him in his living room in Vienna's Leopoldstadt district. A small selection of these encounters will be documented in the anthology "Talk To Me." He chatted with pop heartthrob Bryan Ferry about fashion designer Helmut Lang, and with yodeler Gretl Steiner about Osama Bin Laden.
