Biography (David Baldacci (born 1960)) David Baldacci's novels have been translated into more than 45 languages and have sold over 100 million copies worldwide. He was born in Virginia in 1960 and studied political science and law there. Before becoming a writer, he practiced law for nine years. His first novel, "The President," was a resounding success and was soon adapted into a film. Since his sister was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Baldacci has volunteered for the National MS Society and other charitable organizations. He still lives in Virginia with his wife and children.
