At night, mysterious lights flicker over the mudflats, strange packages appear on the beach – and then, during a wedding celebration, a dead man is found hanging upside down from the lighthouse. Island police officer Jan Benden and his wife Laura investigate a case that leads them not only to old acquaintances but also into a web of smuggling, romantic entanglements, and secrets.
