After years, Anne, a successful management consultant, meets her former roommates Sven, Merle and Paulina again. In order to pay their last respects to the then fifth member of the group, the recently deceased Ruben, they set off on a journey together through the Baltic Sea. But the sailing trip soon turns into a disaster. Anne is keeping a dark secret and is almost in danger of losing her mind about it: she is responsible for Rubens' death and wants to get rid of her guilt once and for all. But there is also tension among the others: long-suppressed feelings come up again, rivalries, jealousies and quarrels scratch at the fragile cohesion of the group. A lull, running out of fuel supplies and a near collision with a tanker completely change the mood on board.
