Was it a tragic accident or a planned murder? – The fifth case for Inspector Michalis Charisteas It's July in Crete, and the time of long, warm nights has begun. Early in the morning, Michalis Charisteas is called to a crime scene in the far northwest of Crete, to the Balos Lagoon. At the tip of the uninhabited Gramvousa peninsula lies this stunningly beautiful lagoon, popular with tourists for its shallow, turquoise waters and long stretch of fine sandy beach. During the night, a motor yacht crashed into the rocks in this picturesque spot. Three people are dead. The head of the Kissamos police station assumes it was a tragic accident, likely involving alcohol. But the son of the boat owner, whose fiancée was killed, believes it was a targeted murder. In their investigation, Michalis and his colleague Koronaios uncover a web of revenge and helpless despair, and for the first time, Michalis is forced to use his service weapon. biography Nikos Milonás, also known as Frank D. Müller, fell in love with the Mediterranean island of Crete at the young age of 17 during his first trip there. Coming from a cool North German summer, he was overwhelmed when he caught sight of the coast from the ship and the intense scent of wild thyme wafted across the sea to him. Since then, he has spent as much time as possible in Crete and has grown deeply fond of the island and its people. In his German life, the Hamburg native now lives in Munich, works as an assistant director and documentary filmmaker, and is a (co-)writer of various TV programs (including "Munich 7"). "Cretan Enmity" is his first crime novel and the first case for Detective Michalis Charisteas. New product
