Since 1975, he has worked as an actor and writer for theater and cabaret, including many years as a member of the Munich Lach- und Schießgesellschaft (Laughing and Shooting Society). Since 1985, he has made regular appearances on the satirical program "Scheibenwischer" (Windshield Wiper). He also produced 25 episodes of the satirical radio show "Jonas" on Radio Bremen.
