It's 1983. Daniel is about to be confirmed and dreams of a blue velvet jacket and gray flannel trousers. But ever since he overheard his parents talking, he suspects his dreams aren't going to come true. The Hormanns are broke and don't know how they're going to make ends meet for their family of six. As resourceful as his parents are, there's one thing they can't do: manage money. What they can do, however, is keep up appearances, even when the bailiff is at the door.
