Five houses on stilts - the summer quarters of a handful of families in the Médoc. Judith has spent every August here since she was a child. Surfing in the Atlantic, swimming in the lake, peeling off tattoos on suntanned skin. And at that time always at Judith's side: her little sister Lola and Natascha, the girl from the house next door. Years later, Judith, now a successful sculptor, lives alone in the corner house with her husband Robert and their twin daughters. Only Oda, Judith's egocentric mother, returns here after the death of her father. But even though the house is filled with people again, the painful gaps that gape in Judith's life are most evident here. When the empty neighboring house is to be sold, Robert is immediately interested. In Judith, however, these four walls and their stories shake up deep-seated memories. And when Natascha suddenly appears accompanied by her husband Simon, all the feelings that Judith has been trying to suppress since that summer forty years ago are suddenly back.
