Clemens Meyer - The Projectors Book New
The new novel by Clemens Meyer: An epic about the crises of Europe and the art of storytelling From Leipzig to Belgrade, from the GDR to the People's Republic of Yugoslavia, from the screen spectacle to the adventure novel. Relentlessly and rapidly, 'The Projectors' tells of our present shattered by the past - and of incomparable characters: In the Velebit Mountains, a former partisan experiences the adventurous filming of the Winnetou films. Decades later, the brutal battles of the Yugoslav wars take place in exactly these places - in the middle of it all a group of young right-wing radicals from Dortmund who have to experience the senselessness of their ideology. And in Leipzig, at a conference in a psychiatric clinic, the texts of a former patient are discussed: How did he manage to disappear without a trace? Could he predict the future? And what connects him with the world traveler Dr. May, who was once also a patient of the clinic? Biography Clemens Meyer, born in 1977 in Halle/Saale, lives in Leipzig.
