A woman seeks new paths after her children leave home – a life review: straightforward, authentic, and witty. Doris Knecht, born in 1966 in Vorarlberg, is one of the most original and witty voices in Austrian journalism. She was, among other things, deputy editor-in-chief of the Viennese city magazine "Falter" and a columnist for the Swiss newspaper "Tages-Anzeiger." She writes a five-times-weekly column for the "Kurier" titled "Jetzt erst Knecht" (Now Knecht), and regularly performs as a DJ at the Viennese bar "rhiz." Doris Knecht lives with her family in Vienna and the Waldviertel region.
