Biography Edgar Selge is one of Germany's most important character actors. Born in 1948, he grew up in Herford, East Westphalia, the son of a prison director. He completed his acting training in 1975 at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. Previously, he studied philosophy and German language and literature in Munich and Dublin as well as classical piano in Vienna. He has been awarded numerous prizes for his work. Edgar Selge lives with the actress Franziska Walser. The two have two children. "Hast du uns endlich gefunden" is his literary debut.
