When a heavy storm interrupts the train journey of the young globetrotter Josie, she is stranded in the tranquil coastal village of Mirnhagen, directly on the Baltic Sea. In search of a roof over her head, she spontaneously takes a job as a housemaid for the grumpy jeweler Konrad. In his villa on the beach, with Konrad's help, she not only discovers her talent for making jewellery from washed up sea glass, she also meets Rick, the jeweller's chauffeur, who makes her heart beat faster. But Rick keeps a secret and Josie has never stayed in the same place for long. Will she find a reason here to finally put down roots?
