Product description

When participants in a drug trial at Berlin's Charité hospital suddenly begin to age, their lives are thrown into disarray—and a rapid, unstoppable chain of events begins. Four people, as different as night and day, have one thing in common: they are subjects in a medical study whose "side effect" has unforeseen consequences—a rejuvenation of several years. What sounds like the fulfillment of an age-old human dream not only has positive effects but also brings spectacular complications. When the public learns of the drug's effects, events spiral out of control. Maxim Leo has crafted a novel that is as insightful as it is entertaining, following its multifaceted and endearing protagonists through the craziest year of their lives and prompting reflection with intelligence, wit, and warmth. Maxim Leo was born in East Berlin in 1970. He studied political science at the Free University of Berlin and at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris. From 1995 to 1996, he was a news editor at RTL. Since 1997, he has been an editor at the Berliner Zeitung, and since 2001, he has worked in the "Page Three" section. In 2002, he was nominated for the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize, and in 2002, he received the Franco-German Journalism Prize. In 2006, he was awarded the Theodor Wolff Prize. He lives with his family in Berlin. New product
