The mega-bestseller now in a new edition! 'A particularly clever woman has written a particularly entertaining travel book with many valuable personal and universal insights. Highly recommended reading!' Globetrotter

Winning a fortune, being completely free, traveling the world: What's it like to live the life everyone dreams of? When you can do anything, do you really know what you want? Meike Winnemuth travels for a year across all continents, 12 months, 12 cities: Sydney, Buenos Aires, Mumbai, Shanghai, Honolulu, San Francisco, London, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Tel Aviv, Addis Ababa, Havana. With energy, humor, and a keen sense for the unique character of each city and its inhabitants, she recounts her aha moments and culture shocks, a year that transforms her life. An inspiring book about the intoxication of freedom, the joy of serendipity, and the surprises you experience, not least within yourself. And the best part: she didn't even need all that money.

The popular bestseller now in a new edition, with numerous photos in the text, a map, travel tips and a color photo section.
