This is a love story. It takes place in June, July, August in Adana, three thousand kilometers away from Berlin. Zeko lives in Berlin. Here he meets men in parks and cafés, on dating apps and in front of the mosque. But every time their lips touch, his thoughts tear him back to Hassan, the neighbor boy in Adana, whom Dede, his grandfather, always calls 'son of a dog'. Zeko knows the noisy neighborhood, the dust in the alleys only from the summer holidays. Then Dede dies of a heart attack. But Zeko doesn't want to forget, not the grandfather who cut the worries out of old men's beards and sang in Arabic, not the religious rituals and the taste of Bamya. And especially not Hassan. 'In nine days I will see Hassan again,' he repeats like a mantra: at Friday prayers, in the therapy session, in the Prinzenbad, at lunch with his best friend Pari. But something happened the last time Zeko and Hassan saw each other. Something that pushes up more and more violently the closer the day of his departure comes.
