Biography (Udo Lindenberg) Udo Lindenberg, born in 1946 in Gronau, Westphalia, is a musician, actor, and painter. He began his career in the 1970s as a jazz musician. His record "Alles klar auf der Andrea Doria" (All Clear on the Andrea Doria) brought him his first success in 1973. He founded his band, the "Panikorchester" (Panic Orchestra), and launched his career as Germany's most famous rocker. In 1975, he wrote his first book, "Albert Alptraum bis Wotan Wahnwitz" (Albert Nightmare to Wotan Madness), and in 1980, he took on his first film role in "Panische Zeiten" (Panic Times). With the song "Sonderzug nach Pankow" (Special Train to Pankow) in 1983, he attracted not only musical but also political attention. His career reached its peak in 2004 when he celebrated his 30th stage anniversary with the "Aufmarsch der Giganten" (March of the Giants) tour.
