Her freedom is the most important thing to Anne. Her parents always encouraged her, she became an actress, and she also remained unattached in relationships. Until she meets Richard, who is dressed in colorful, elegant clothes, works as a baker and impresses Anne with croissants, his wit and charm - and who has a precarious status as a refugee from Kenya. Richard is so different that Anne quickly gives up her freedom for this special love. Then Thando comes into the world, things change, worries and doubts interfere: Is Richard really serious? Isn't his lifestyle too idiosyncratic after all? Aren't the gaps between the two so huge that love can no longer bridge them? And what about Anne's own urge for freedom?
