biography
Bettina Tietjen, born in 1960, worked as a reporter, author, and presenter for RIAS Berlin, Deutsche Welle, WDR, NDR, and various print media after studying German and Romance languages and literature. Among other things, she presented RIAS's breakfast television program, DW Journal, and the "Aktuelle Stunde" news program on WDR. Since 1993, she has been a host on the NDR program "DAS!" on the red sofa. Once a month, she talks with Eckart von Hirschhausen on "Tietjen und Hirschhausen," and in the quiz show "Wer hat s gesehen?" (Who Saw It?), she entertains herself with celebrity contestants about iconic TV moments. And when there's something delicious to cook up with her favorite TV chef, Rainer Sass, she's happy to don an apron. The Sunday radio talk show "Tietjen talkt" has been broadcast on NDR 2 since 2008. Bettina Tietjen is married, lives in Hamburg and has two children.
