Nina Maruhn: Fit for Riding Book New
Horse riding continues to enjoy immense popularity. However, the sport is often underestimated and dismissed as passive, when in fact it is extremely physically demanding. Strength, balance, endurance, and coordination are essential for the connection between rider and horse. A lack of these can negatively impact performance and increase the risk of injury. Therefore, Nina Maruhn emphasizes targeted complementary sports and highlights the importance of rider fitness in preventing back, neck, and joint pain. With the right warm-up and specially designed training sessions incorporating strength, mobility, and yoga exercises, postural imbalances can be corrected, and tense hips, stiff shoulders, painful knees, and a rider's hump can be avoided – fostering a healthy and harmonious relationship between rider and horse. Biography (Nina Maruhn) Nina Maruhn was born in 1998. She lives with her family in the beautiful Allgäu region and successfully attends the Marienrealschule in Kaufbeuren.
