Biography (Till Lindemann) Till Lindemann was born in Leipzig in 1963, the son of East German children's book author and writer Werner Lindemann and cultural journalist Brigitte Lindemann. As a youth, he was a competitive swimmer. After attending boarding school, he apprenticed as a carpenter and worked as a joiner, basket weaver, and technician.
