Product description

Few people are as curious about their neighbors as Vladimir Kaminer, whether individuals or entire countries. And what better way to get to know one another than over a meal? When you're a guest at someone else's table, you not only absorb their culture, but you also learn about their dreams, wishes, worries, and hopes. On his travels through Europe, Kaminer samples dishes from Portugal as well as honey from Bulgaria, drinks Moldovan wine, and dips his spoon into Serbian pots. Above all, he engages in conversation with people and delves deep into their history and stories. His explorations reveal a Europe as diverse, vibrant, and surprising as its cuisine. Biography: Vladimir Kaminer was born in Moscow in 1967. He trained as a sound engineer for theater and radio and subsequently studied dramaturgy at the Moscow Theater Institute. Since 1990, he has lived in Berlin with his wife and two children. Kaminer regularly publishes texts in various German newspapers and magazines, hosts a weekly program called "Vladimir's World" on SFB4 Radio MultiKulti, where he shares his everyday cosmonaut's observations every Saturday, and organizes events at the Burger café, such as his now-famous "Russendisko" (Russian Disco). With his collection of short stories of the same name, this creative multi-talent rose overnight to become one of the most popular and sought-after young authors in Germany. In 2006, Vladimir Kaminer received the Eisenhüttenstadt Steel Foundation Literature Prize. New product
