Achdé: Lucky Luke 89 - Lucky Kid Comic Book Booklet New
Where does he actually come from, the most popular cowboy of the Germans? O. k. ... Actually, he is French... or are they Americans?! And how did he get his name? In this volume, the origin of the man who shoots faster than his shadow is finally revealed. The six pages that deal with the birth of this Western myth are joined by 36 one-pagers. These bear witness to the unusual adventures of a three-cheese high, who stirs up the small western town of "Nothing Gulch" with a red scarf and a twin. The illustrator Achdé not only succeeds in filling a gap in Morris's Lucky Luke universe, he also makes us smile with the flailing years of a cowboy faster than Lucky Kid can his twins! Biography (Achdé) Achdé, whose real name is Hervé Darmenton, was born on July 30, 1961 in Lyon. His stage name Achdé is derived from the French pronunciation of the initials of his name. At the age of nine, he bought his first Lucky Luke and, inspired by the great French comic magazines, soon dreamed of devoting himself to comic drawing. After training as an X-ray specialist, he came closer to realizing his childhood dream and worked in an advertising agency. At the same time, he publishes drawings in the regional and national press. In 1988, he finally published his first album Destins croisés on his own. The promising illustrator is then signed by Dargaud. He has his first success with a parodistic series about the one special unit of the French police (C.R.S.). Thanks to other successful series, Achdé
