Product description

Never before published in German Lucky Luke albums, these Lucky Luke stories let us join in the incredible adventures of our Western hero. In "The French Cook," Morris's successor, Achdé, guides us with his signature style and humor through a competition between two chefs, during which Rantanplan, incidentally, stuffs himself. However, once again all attempts to train this presumably dumbest dog in the West fail in "Barrel, Rantanplan!" The Lapp Johan's longing for reindeer in "A Lapp in Canada" provides Lucky Luke and his old friend with a few unusual lessons from the bag of tricks. The road to sunset is unfortunately not the road to freedom for the Daltons, because only one rides to sunset: Lucky Luke. But when Lucky Luke and Machine Gun Kid meet, the bullets fly thick and fast. When the year draws to a close and Rantanplan thinks it's Easter in "Silent Night, Rantanplan Wakes!", all the misunderstandings ultimately lead to a Christmas miracle. The rarity "Paradise Gulch" gives Lucky Luke the advice of highly famous Western film heroes to save this paradise for later and leave town towards the sunset, naturally with a greeting from Rintintin. A successful menu of stories that will make man and horse neigh! Biography (Achdé) Achdé, whose real name is Hervé Darmenton, was born on July 30, 1961, in Lyon. His pen name, Achdé, is derived from the French pronunciation of his initials. At the age of nine, he bought his first Lucky Luke comic and, inspired by the major French comic magazines, soon dreamed of dedicating himself to drawing comics. After training as an X-ray technician, he came closer to realizing his childhood dream and worked in an advertising agency. At the same time, he published drawings in the regional and national press. In 1988, he self-published his first album, Destins croisés. Subsequently, the promising artist was signed by Dargaud. His first success came with a parody series about a special unit of the French police (CRS). Thanks to further successful series, Achdé was soon able to make a living drawing comics. Then came the ultimate accolade: when a successor to Morris was sought, Achdé was found, and the Lonesome Cowboy could ride on!
